Metrokin operates as a limited liability company in accordance with Congolese legislation, with three primary shareholders: Trans Connexion Congo (TCC), the SCTP, and the City of Kinshasa. The company is poised to address both immediate and future mobility challenges in Kinshasa, a city with a population exceeding 17 million, through its comprehensive four-phase project.
The first phase involves the central station located at N’djili International Airport, spanning 25 kilometers. The second phase, known as the Kinshasa plain (“maillage”), extends 75 kilometers. The third phase encompasses the Kinshasa city loop, which measures 90 kilometers in length. Finally, the fourth phase connects the airport to Malaku over a distance of 80 kilometers.
